Here we have the latest little vignette for the WVS project, the Brigadier von Jung, commander of the first Astrovian infantry brigade.
Being relatively young (see what I did there!), von Jung has a veteran advisor with him, sporting a coat from his service days in the 1670s and 1680s. I don't have a name for him yet...suggestions please!
And here is the brigade arrayed for action...
Regiments Frankl, Schrodinger, and Mahler (Grenadiers)
I am currently working on a Vaubarian infantry battalion, with a difference... Should be finished within a week.
Baron been a rund a bit 😂
ReplyDeleteJonge Jenever would fit with my past Dutch drinking, perhaps Jenever Der Jonge?
ReplyDeleteWonderful looking figures Phil.
ReplyDeletePhil,
ReplyDeleteThat's the famous Baron von Friedchiken. Beautiful vignette.
Neil
Handsome command vignette, Phil!
ReplyDeleteSo elegant and so beautifully painted!
ReplyDeleteVery nice Phil!
ReplyDeleteChristopher
Isn't he one of the von Trippenhofs? The famous family of military men and uncontrollable drunkards?
ReplyDeleteAnd beautiful figures of course. Ah, the classic 20 figure infantry unit...
ReplyDeleteAnd is the second brigade commanded by von Freud? wonderful additions, Phil! Cheers, Rohan.
ReplyDeleteVery nice piece of work Phil. The officer is clearly from one of the Italian states and is General Imbroglio (closely related to General Confusion).
ReplyDeleteHe looks suitably Romanesque in his red cape to command that fine looking brigade!
ReplyDeletePerhaps his veteran advisor could be der Kanarienvogel on account of his yellow coat and incessant chatter in the young fella's ear?
Regards, James
