My first Hail Caesar game occurred earlier in the year. I used Andy Moran's Indian army, playing against John Kersey's Han Chinese, with Andy acting as umpire/games master.
Just a few pictures...
Andy produced the rather nice terrain items shown which really added lots of character to the game. Very evocative.
Below: John's Han Chinese.
Above: Andy's Indians.
It was a swings and roundabouts affair with fortunes favouring one side then the other. As I remember, a series of unlucky break tests meant the Han Chinese grabbed defeat from the jaws of victory and I was, somehow triumphant having been on the verge of collapse!
For those on Facebook, Andy has set up a hobby page called "Flamin' Pig!" which he is using to record our ancients games and his progress with the many armies he is building. Pop over and have a look and follow what he's up to. It's very impressive stuff.
I'll be adding more images of some of our recent games here in the coming days.

What a superb looking game, the table and miniatures are great.
ReplyDeleteThanks Donnie. The figures are very exotic! Andy has done a great job on the terrain items too. Phil
DeleteUnusual armies to see in an exotic setting -superb. Quite the inspiration to get on painting my Koreans.
