Sad news

I can only just bring myself to report that the blog mascot, Jethro, has passed on, aged 16...

Goodnight my little pal. I'll miss you.
Sleep well, cheeky boy...

  1. Hello, Phil. My deepest condolences for your loss. Dear pets are as close as family, & seldom as much trouble. Their affection is unconditional, and they are a source of close companionship. Vale, Jethro, and best wishes to you all. Rohan.

  3. Phil, I am so sorry to hear about Jethro' s passing. I know how important he was to you and after all, dogs are really people with four legs and fur. I'm sure that you have lots of wonderful memories to carry with you, and you never lose those.

  9. Your thoughts and comments are appreciated everyone.
Jethro was well-known to a few gamers who came across the threshold for a game... and he always wanted to be involved, even if it was just to share the Battenburg cakes at tea time!
Many thanks to those who have taken the trouble to comment.

  10. Sorry to hear that Phil. Always sad to lose a pet, and 16 years is a long time to be part of the family. He looked a right little character.

  12. Jethro looked like a real character Phil. 16 years is a pretty good innings, but I know how distressing losing a beloved pet can be. Treasure the great memories.

  14. Sorry for your loss. Pets can become close members of the family and their loss is deeply felt. All pet owners have at one time lost a close friend, so may your time of grief be short and never forget the good times you two shared.
