Continuing with the Eastern Renaissance theme, here is the Ottoman command group I completed recently.
Considering names for this particular Ottoman personality... all suggestions in comments please!

DeleteSuperb work there Phil! For a name how about Abdul the Bulbul Emir, from the well known song used in beer advert years ago? Then you could have Count Ivan Skavinsky Skavar as his nemesis!

ReplyDeleteFor a different literary vibe, how about Ferood or Feraburz [uncle of the king] who are the CinC and 2ic of the Persian host in Matthew Arnold's great poem "Sohrab and Rustum".
Like others I was also struck by the embroidery as my daughter, Arwen, has been painting embroidered kimonos and sashes on her 28mm figures.
